- the program is entirely individualized—clients only interact with a specialist addiction’s psychologist
· no large group attendance, no locked wards, no public record of attendance
· highly confidential, specifically located in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, far from media and colleagues
· clients reside in a hotel or retreat centre of their choosing
· based on need, clients access local fitness centres, massage therapy, medical facilities, recreational and adventure therapy activities as planned
· clients are not exposed to one sized fits all 28 day program but plans treatment stay as required
· the core program utilizes state of the art addictions psychotherapy within a 12 step framework
· therapy is geared towards getting past the client's defenses and resolving core emotional and cognitive issues which may underlie the addiction
· clients attend 12 step meetings on evenings and weekends
